Julia Olesinska BA (Hons) MBACP
My experience has been working in the NHS and I am now currently in private practice.
I have had specialised training in working with patients with chronic pain in the NHS since 2015.
My Psychotherapy training and theoretical approach is fundamentally Humanistic, this is where I work together with you therapeutically, listening, understanding and exploring your unique life experience without judgement.
The process of developing a trusting and confidential therapeutic relationship is one of the most valuable parts of therapy; it helps builds confidence for you the client, and can lead to discovering insight into the way we behave and interact with others, often leading to change where life can become more fulfilling.
My work has led to my interest in the changing focus and noticing differences and setting small acheivable goals, using a creative and more integrative style of therapy.
When life brings it’s challenges it can be hard to cope sometimes Working alongside you therapeutically, we can find the way forward together, enabling you to develop and make the choices you wish to. Whether this is seeking a greater understanding of what life has brought you, using the more traditional style of therapy sitting opposite one another talking and listening or I can tailor the process to your specific needs. If you would like to listen to music and talk, or walk and talk we can do this too. Allowing our auditory senses to be triggered by music, or our visual senses by the environment whilst walking, can help towards reducing anxiety and levels of depression.
